Download for Android

Version 1.1.0 · 123 MB · Android 8.0 or later

How to install

  1. Tap Download for Android. Chrome may warn that this type of file can be harmful: it says so for every app downloaded outside the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
  2. When the download finishes, tap Open (or open the file from the notification or from Downloads).
  3. The first time, Android asks to allow installs from Chrome: tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, go back and tap Install.
  4. If Play Protect shows up, you can let it scan the app and then install it.
  5. Open Shout Clock and allow the microphone when it asks.

Had a test version? Uninstall it first: a version signed differently can’t be updated and Android says “App not installed”.

Coming soon to Google Play

The app is coming to Google Play, with automatic updates. Until then, new versions are downloaded from this page.

Privacy

The Android app doesn’t even have permission to access the Internet: your voice is recognised on the phone and never leaves it. Details in the privacy policy. Problems or ideas? Write to me through the feedback form.
